Manually Name Each Slide

A

Andy

Hi;

Spent the last 3 hours scanning the subject lines of this news group and an
hour before that searching Google, pptfaq.com and Microsoft for an answer to
this question:

How do You manually name a slide?

Did find code for VBA to name a slide, would like to simply name them.

Saved the file as an HTML. On the left side it shows:
Slide One
Slide Two
Etc.

Want to name the slides:
Products
Clothing
Etc.

How do You manually name a slide?

Thank You for taking the time to read this post.

Put the name of the slide in the placeholder of a new slide, and drag it off
to the side. It will not show during your presentation, but will show as the
slide name.

Michael;

Thank You for the reply.

I went to PP help and the link to "Placeholder" isn't working, then went to
Micorsoft PowerPoint support
got 37 hits but nothing to do with "adding a Placeholder".

How do You add a Placeholder?

Thank You again.

Go to Slide Layout and select any layout. It sounds like you want the Title
Only layout for your slides. The best way to do that for all slides would be
to select all the slides in the slide miniature pane and then change the
layout.

It is not a link. when you open a new slide, you have a title placeholder at
the top of the slide. My mistake, I should have mentioned Title place holder
in my previous post.

That's not the slide names, it's the slide TITLE text.

Type the name you want into the outliner.

The same text will likely appear on the slide itself. If you don't want it
visible, drag it off the slide.

Thank all of You for Your help.

The easiest way for me at this moment in time it to add the names, (Titles),
in the Outliner.
