manually changed time won't stick

manually changing time but after few minutes it reverts to old time.
Updated time after daylight savings started. did not use patch. What is
causing this?
 
If you decilne the patch, you will have to advance your time zone by one. (or
turn off the "Internet time' update in the date time app)
 
These suggestions worked. What I did was uncheck the automatically adjust
for daylight savings.

This is happening because you still have the box checked which says
something like
"adjust for daylight savings" which doesn't happen according to your
computer for another two weeks.
go to date and time>time zone and uncheck this box.
 
If you declined the patch and then unchecked the box for DST, you will
probably have to recheck the box after the first Sunday in April,
which was the old Daylight Savings Time start date in the US. Why not
just get the update?
