Manual Update for Vista's Defender

Ever since 10/02/2006 I have been unable to update the Defender signatures
in Windows Vista RC-1. Rumor has it that MS took the update server offline.

Will the link that Engel provides here regularly work for Vista's Defender
too?

Please disregard. I tried it and found out that it works. It also updated
the engine to the latest version.

Yes--the updates work for all versions, I believe. Which is
interesting--surely that tells us something about the nature of engine
updates?

I've had no trouble with updates on Vista--I would discount your rumor.

I don't think there is an significant difference between XP version and
Vista version. Vista might have some its own diffrences and security
blockages but WD is WD no matter what your OS is.
