Manual calculation of calculated items in multiple pivottables

Peter

Hi
(Excel 2010).

I have a workbook with more pivottables. All tables has one or more
calculated items.

When I update data, change or build a new pivottable, Excel
recalculate all the pivottables with all the calculated items. This
operation starts regardless that the calculation principle is set to
manual.

As the recalc takes very long time, I would prefer to be able to set
in on manual. Is there a way for that.

Thank you

Peter

Hi Peter

If I understand you correctly, this is when you are changing your report
layout.
If so, then at the bottom left of the Pivot Table Field list dialogue, there
is a button "Defer Layout Update"
Check this box and it should resolve your problem.
