Managing Tasks and Projects in Outlook

Hi,
I am curiuous to hear about the best way to manage tasks and projects
in Outlook. Currently I manage projects by either setting up a task and

constantly updating it with notes, or by setting up a folder and
placing project e-mail messagges into the folder. I'm hoping there is
an easier way to handle the management.

I am also interested to hear of any Outlook add-ons or plug-in's that
can help me with Task/Project Management. As far as stand alone
programs are concerned, I have tried Microsoft Project, but it seems
like overkill to me.

Thanks for your help.

Actually, a better way might be Microsoft Project, or some other project
management software.

Can you give me an idea of the functionality you want? Your version would
also be great!!!!

Tasks that are categorised by Project Name can be very useful and if you
think Project is overkill, then this approach may be fine for you.

Turn on your Advanced Toolbars and use the Field Chooser and Group By Box in
your Tasks folder. You may also want to experiment with Define a New View
and setting it with filters to show Tasks from a single category or even a
Timeline grouped by category.

If you Assign Tasks, you'll need to show the Owner column in your views.
