Hope this isn't OT. I just can't remember the cause or the fix. Hope
someone else does.
When I use IE, I have the cookie control set to prompt me. It's been
that way for several years, so I rarely get the promt anymore. My list of
blocked ad companies/sites is pretty big. A few weeks ago, I needed to
unblock a site I blocked by mistake so I went into my list (Tools- Internet
Options- Privacy- Sites) to look for it, and my list was gone. Or to
be more precise, it had been reduced to a couple of entries. At least
that's
how it appeared
As it turned out, the list was still there and intact, but it had
become unviewable.
Somehow I found a site with a patch or instructions on how to fix this. I
think it was
a registry edit, but I'm not sure. It was easily fixed.
So what's the problem? Now I have the same issue at work. The IT guy
hasn't heard of this, and I can't for the life a me remember how I fixed it,
and my searches so far have come up empty.
