Managed Directx

Just bought a new Toshiba P25-S487 laptop with 17"
screen. It has XP home pre-installed. I was able to
install all the XP Updates except for one which downloads
but refuses to install. It is "Managed Directx". Tried
installing it several times but installation fails.
Microsoft will not give me free support because XP was
pre-installed by Toshiba (OEM) and referred me back to
Toshiba. NO HOPE OVER THERE! I am sure someone has a
solution.

Just click on "Windows Update" and load the latest direct-X as an
Update item from MS. You do not need the one from Toshiba.
