I am trying to create XP SP3 on a Toshiba Satellite M35x-s309 laptop.
It needs several drivers, including video, audio, and network.
I have spent all day trying to find, download, and install the needed
drivers. It seems that area is a mess. To me anyway.

I have implemented audio and modem drivers just fine, but for the
life of me I can't do the same for video and more importantly network.

If I could just get networking working, I could then let one of the
several scanners there are out there find and tell me what I need to
finish the driver job. But I can't.

Can someone tell me where I might look to get and install what I need?
Bless you especially for a working network driver. Device Manager
tells me the following details for the needed network driver:
PCI\VEN_8086%DEV_4220&SUBSYS_27418086&REV_05\4&16793A72.........

Thanks

Have you tried Toshiba?
According to their website, they have all the drivers
for that machine:

The manufacturer of the computer, is your first stop. Otherwise,
you can use the informal PCI ID file, to figure out what the
hardware is.

http://pciids.sourceforge.net/pci.ids

8086 Intel Corporation
....
4220 PRO/Wireless 2200BG [Calexico2] Network Connection
103c 0934 Compaq nw8240/nx8220
103c 12f6 nc6120/nx8220/nw8240
8086 2701 WM3B2300BG Mini-PCI Card
8086 2712 IBM ThinkPad R50e
8086 2721 Dell B130 laptop integrated WLAN
8086 2722 Dell Latitude D600
8086 2731 Samsung P35 integrated WLAN

In addition to Toshiba, you could try Intel, or any one
of the companies related to the above computers. 2200BG
is an Intel branding (no guarantees though, as to who
actually makes the chips).

I have no idea why the subject line of my post is garbaged. Looks
okay on this end. Just another anomaly.

Would some combination of the letter "i" and some other
key, be used as a hot key to post the article ? Maybe you
were "selecting" the subject line, attempted to hit
the hot key, and instead, the keys pressed overwrote
the Subject field.
