Someone in my family must have gone into a site and guess what. I get
two warnings on my task bar.

SYSTEM ALERT: MALWARE THREATS
your computer is infected with a back door Trojan that allows the remote
attacker to perform various malicious actions. Click this balloon to
download malware removal software. Porn adds keep popping up also.

the other is;
CRITICAL SYSTEM ERRORS:

Telling me to click and go to their site
(http://www.virusbursters.com/?aff=334) download their software to fix
my malware problem.

I have run a anti virus scan and it gets stuck on 98%. I ran Search &
Destroy program and it found some problems but it didn't get rid off the
problem.

If I go back to another restore point, would it get rid off the problem?

Thank you in advance for your help in this badddd situation.

YankFan,

Unfortunately, system restore will not solve the problem here. It
might get rid of the installation of whatever software put the
malware/trojan on your hard drive, but there is a good chance that the
bug would still remain. I recommend a free utility called HouseCall.
It is available on the TrendMicro website
(http://housecall.trendmicro.com/). In my many experiences with this
utility, it has performed quite well. It does take a few scans to
completely rid the hard drive of any malware, but it does get the job
done. Plus, it is very straightforward to use. Give it a try and let
me know how it works out for you!

First off, be aware that getting rid of this problem is going
to be a royal PITA.

Take a look at these articles;

You might also want to download and run the 30 day trial
version of this program,

AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5 (trial)

Good luck
