I was in the help and support because of printer problems, and I was trying
different things when my Norton antivirus popped up with a "malicious
script" and recommended blocking, it said the source was helpctr.exe. can
anyone help me? don't understand why the helpctr would have some kind of
threat? thx

.
All anti-virus software will give a malicious script
warning like that.A script changes registry settings and
Norton has no idea what it's for or what it's doing. If it
was a script that you were intensionally downloading at
the time for a fix, tell Norton to allow it.However if
you wasn't downloading anything then it should be suspect.
