making the page with static size

hi guys sorry im just very new with front page not much on th
programing side but i found my way on making some simple site now
need to make my pages with static size . for example if i want it t
look the same yahoo page which have all the content in one column onl
and doesnt have the left border. or the right border.

how do i do this and also what is the advisable pixel size for flash i
a web page.?

do you see the site yahoo.com where all his design are in the middle
nothing on the left and right border. where all he have is a center
header and body. I cant make this work when i view my page to a 800 x
600 screen it automaticall extend its body to the screen creating a
huge but viewable page.
