Making & moving program folder in XP

HI all, back in the old Win98 days one could create program folder or move
programs from folder to folder. An example is I could move a program from
the accessory folder to the system folder. Or create a new folder to move
programs into. Is there anyway to do this in XPhome?

Thanks

Sure........Windows Explorer.

Assuming you want a new folder off the root of c:\, highlight the c; drive,
in the menu at the top go File-->New--Folder.

Give it a name.

I assume you know how to move or copy a file from one folder to another.

Maybe I wasn't clear. In XP- Start > Programs > Accessories > Calculator
So my question is in the example how can I move the "calculator" to another
newly made folder such as- Start > Programs > NewTools

Drag it to the folder.
Click and drag you can move shortcuts around in the Start Menu any where you
want.

Right click your Start button and click on Explore. That will open XP
to your start menu folders.

Right click the Start button again and select Explore All Users to get
to the shortcuts that appear on everyone's start menus.

Work with these two Explorer windows to create a start menu organized
the way that you want. Add and move folders. Rename them. Drop
shortcuts into them. Changes will be reflected right away in the Start
Menu, so click on Start now and then to see how things are shaping up.

XP can turn off this function. In Start Menu Options make sure Drag n Drop is enabled.
