Making existing columns into look-up columns

I was working on an Access database that contained two lookup columns. The
lookup function of these columns suddenly stopped working, even though all
data was saved and both tables that feed these columns remained intact.

How do I make the existing columns into look up columns without losing any
data?

If, by "lookup columns", you mean fields/columns in Tables of type "lookup",
you are experiencing one of the reasons the folks over in the tablesdbdesign
newsgroup strongly recommend against using that datatype!

Thanks, Larry (the "10" seems so judgemental, and I can, in my fevered
imagination, conceive of a situation in which the lookup columns might even
work ... but I don't like them either!)
