making desktop start up faster?

i'm simply wondering if there's a way to make my really fast computer, even
faster. the only thing i don't like about my computer is that it does take
too long to bring up the desktop/settings to get going for the day. is there
anything that i could look at and/or turn off? Thank you so much!
