Make .wmv that will play on an Apple MAC with Premier 6.5

Using Premier 6.5 with Windows Media codec 9.0 installed,
Apple MAC users can't play the .wmv file from website.

I assume this is because the MAC version of Windows Media
Player only supports codec 7.0, right? Any idea how to
get Premier to use that codec when PC has codec 9.0
installed?

Should I be using a different video format if I want MAC
users to be able to play the video?

From my understanding it should still play fine if you use CBR rather
than VBR on the audio and the video. See:

If not you could try encoding using windows media version8:
