Make Outlook Express default mail server

I have been using Outlook Express and like it fine. I updated virus
protection and clicked to have Outlook as my default mail server--not
realizing that Outlook and Outlook Express were different. How can I get
Outlook Express back as default?
 
Control Panel->Internet Options->Programs tab.

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
