I need to create a PDF file out of multiple Word documents. These Word
documents have numbered chapter heads. The people I work with want the
bookmarks (TOC) to run consecutively in the final PDF file. The only way I
can think of to do that automatically is to adjust the heading number that
the second and third Word documents start on, so that, for example, the Word
document that will be the second part of the PDF file begins on chapter 4
instead of 1 (chapter 1 - 3 being in the first Word document). I can't find
any instructions to do this. Is this possible?
I am using Windows XP and Word 2003.
Many thanks!
