We've just rolled out word 2003 and have realised that we need to add a
toolbar to everybody's normal.dot. We’re running on a novell network so we
thought it would be best run something in the login script but we aren’t
quite sure on how add something to someone’s normal.dot without actually
getting onto their PC and making the change. Any help would be gratefully
appreciated.

You probably don't need to add it to normal.dot, and it's not a good idea
for companies to use normal.dot anyhow, as normal.dot is really designed to
be a scratchpad for the user and corrupts frequently.

Instead, put the toolbar in a CompanyGlobal.dot, and have the login script
copy it into the appropriate location for the version of Word in use. Global
templates will load on launch and show the toolbar.

That's pretty much exhausted my knowledge--but start by looking up global
template in Help, and investigate the Word Startup folder.
