Major SP2 issues

On upgrade to SP2 the following things stopped working on my system
-NortonSystem Works 2003
-Network Connections showed no icons
-VPN shortcuts no longer did anything
-Unable to Uninstall serveral application, got Access Denied (I am an admin)
messages and other messages for apps that used Windows Installer
-Unable to uninstall NortonSystem Works, see above
-Norton Anti-Virus, that came with above, didn't work
-Norton Live Update stopped working
-Unable to INSTALL AutoCad 2005, NortonSystem Works 2005

I was able to Uninstall SP2 and everything is working fine now that I am
back on SP1!

Very strange. Have you done a full virus scan to make sure your system is
not infected? You may want to try getting help from Microsoft on this one...

Did you get the WMI update from Norton before you installed sp2?

Didn't know there was one. I did run Live Update before hand but it didn't
find any patches needed, it was set to auto-update so that is probally why.

And yes I did a full spyware & anti-virus scan before hand

Norton says nothing's needed.

Hello,

Seems that you had a lot of trouble... did you check your user group because
after install sp2 normally reverts the user to debugger group at least that
happen to me either with sp2 rc2 as with sp2 rtm

As for Norton Systemworks you are not the first one to complain about
problems... did you deactivated the anti-virus during sp2 upgrade ? If not
that can be the key...
