Major shell/taskbar problems!

I'm having major problems with my XP Pro! Whenever I boot up (if I haven't
locked my taskbar), all I'll see of my taskbar at the bottom is a thin,
little, line. I can try to stretch the height, making sure that it's not
locked, but it won't stretch unless I have the Quick Launch showing. That
brings up another problem -> when the Quick Launch is showing, I can see a
dotted line to the left of it, but there's no dotted line to the right, like
usual. So, instead of having my icons in a nice, little, box, they're strung
out across the taskbar. Now, on the taskbar, it's not showing ANY of my
programs that I have open, like it usually does! Weird, huh? I've tried using
the Taskbar Repair Tool Plus! found on
www.kellys-korner-xp.com/taskbarplus!.htm, but that didn't help. It didn't
seem to do anything. I also can't do a copy/paste from many programs, like
my browser.

To top that off, I can't do an online virus scan - a check at
PCPitStop.com looks like my ActiveX is working, but not scripting.

Does anyone know what could be causing all of these problems? Thanks!!!

Repair the Taskbar manually. See David's post here:

Note: You may lose all the existing Taskbar settings, and the additional
toolbars that you may've added earlier.
