I installed and ran MSAS for couple of days. It seemed to
slow the system occasionally and the use of it causing some
extra hassle/effort compared to benefits. (I´ve been using
ad-aware&avast!&sygate firewall -combination without having
problems from spyware or viruses.)
At some point of using I was studying the features of MSAS
and I remember that I tried to remove some programs from
startup-list via MSAS (There was that kind of possibility,
wasn't there?). MSAS encountered some problems and was not
able to remove programs I wanted from startup-list.
So I decided to uninstall MSAS. I remember having some kind
of problems during the uninstallation process but still
MSAS seemed to have been removed.
The problems began after uninstallation. At this moment
there is couple of issues:
-I cannot install nor uninstall anything, if nothing
-Many programs and system service programs cannot be run,
some of them won't go further than start and others will
stuck hanging in some certain point (using all CPU time),
for example, iexplorer, office outlook, nero burning
program, user accounts from control panel (mshta.exe), and
others
-Logging into windows takes very long
I have already tried resetting winsock (did not help/affect)
Also have read the FAQ and other news here and there.
