Major help please

was having trouble with installing a program and used
clean boot ( msconig) on normal restart i cannot access
modems, printers etc.

Reinstalled windows , i have my printers back , but i
have a big problem, with modems.

If i try to install i get message inable to start driver
for HPHipmllexe(hphimpll)
I also get RTL on the tsakbar.

I
f i try to instal a modem on the control panel it says
cannot load phone and modem control panel!!!!!

It also cannot install the video / sound card.


I have reisnstalled windows twice.

Obviosly i cannot download anthing on the desktop as i
cannot connect to the internet although i can on laptop.

Hey ... Have you try going into the devise manager and
uninstall the modem from there and then do a scan for new
hardware??? Right click my computer >>> Properties >>>
hardware >>> devise manager , then find your modem ,
highlight it and click to uninstall follow by scan for
new hardware ... See if that will help ... You can try
that for all your hardware that isn't working

Yes trid all that it finds the audio and video

controlllers but does not find the drivers.


I also get warning files of windows managment
installation files may have a problem, WMI files.

I also cannot complete a setup or installation without a
fault.


any more ideas?
