mail merge

When I do a mail merge using Word XP Pro and Access XP
Pro and select only certain records to merge... it still
merges the entire data base. Any idea why?

I find it easier to create a Query in Access selecting only the Records I
want and then use this Query as the DataSource for MailMerge. This may
simply be because I am more familiar with Access Query / JET SQL than
MSQuery (?) which is used in Word.
