Trouble with some mail merges between MS Access & Word

Our group has transitioned from Office 2003 to 2007. We have a large db
shared by about 7-8 users. We're currently have some issues with mail
merges. They are based on queries in MS Access that have date parameters.
Some work, some don't. I've attempted creating a new merge, both starting
from Access, as well as starting from Word. It's saying either that Word
can't open the data source, or that the header has no info. Any help?
Thanks!

Do you have an example of the SQL statement for one of those that isn't
working? For one that is working?

Is this "every time", or is this "sometimes"?

More info, please...
