Mail Merge with Multi Doc's on one page

I'm trying to do a mail merge of 1,000 letters that I want to print off of a
11x17 sheet of paper---four letters on one sheet----can I do this in Word
2003?

Thank you,

Lisa

You'll have to set them up as gigantic "labels"--that is, in a 2x2 table.

Thank you---now that I have done that---how do I make the letters change from
one name to the next? For instance---Dear Smith Family on the first letter
and the next is Dear Jones family...how do I change it per doc within the
same page?

You'll need a «Next Record» field at the beginning of labels 2, 3, and 4.
It's easiest to see how this works if you create a normal labels merge using
the Mail Merge Helper/Wizard. Experiment till you get it right. You should
find the «Next Record» field on the Insert Word Field menu on the Mail Merge
toolbar.

OK---I got it to change the names within the doc...but know I need the doc to
continue up to the amount of contacts I have....do I need to copy the letter
1,000 times and add the "next" recond into each letter?

No, you just have to complete the merge. What you're seeing at this point is
just a sample or dummy of how a typical page of the merge will look.
