mail merg problem w/ outlook

I'm not sure what information you need.
in outlook contacks, my address are entered correctly
when I go into word-do mail merg- select lables
select from outlook contacts and the mail merg recipients box
opens, the zip/postal code has United States of America
the country has the zip codes....again when I go back to contact
the zip code is in the proper place and the country is in the proper
place. why is it pulling down in the mail merg the wrong way?

If you do not post the precise steps you used, how can anyone tell what
you're doing wrong? Follow the suggestions I posted and state what happens
before you post again.
