mail folder > modify view... modifications not remembered

When I create a new custom mail folder view for "all mail folders", my
specified view is not remembered correctly in other mail folders.

Is this a known issue?
Is there a work-around?

In an Outlook Inbox sub-folder, I go to...
1: Customize Current View menu item
2: "Custom View Organizer" dialog box opens
3: I create a new table-based mail folder view named "New view"
and I select "on all mail and post folders"
4: I click button "Apply View"
5: my custom view is applied as expected
6: I immediately go to another sub-folder and select my
"New view" but don't apply it yet
7: below the list of views, I see a description of my selected view
and the description does not match: my "Group By:" and "Sort:"
were changed - if I click "Apply View", I don't get the view I entered

This is a problem because I work with many groups of sub-folders under my
Inbox and need a way to make them display a certain way. As it is now, I am
forces to set the view details on each and every folder manually. If I need
to change the view, then I must again go through all the details in the
Customize View wizard for every folder!

You would need to apply that view to each folder the first time you use that
folder. The steps you've already completed simply make the view
**available** to all mail folder.s
