Mail client gone

If i click a mailto link in a web page, i've started get multiple about:blank
pages popping up until my system hangs.

I've checked in Tools > Internet Options > Programs > Email and whereas it
used to say Hotmail it is now blank and wont let me enter anything into it.
I've tried resetting web options but this doesn't help.

I've got anti-virus s/w but it hasn't picked up anything.

Can anyone help ?

Gill,

Is your Hotmail account set up in OE? If so, set OE as default email
program. See here for more info:

I don't have OE loaded on my computer. This has only recently started
happening and i have not changed/loaded anything new except for Mozilla
Firefox.

You need to try and reset IE as your default browser.
