Macro security settings grayed out?

Matthew C.

HI everyone,

I haven't been able to figure this one out. Just upgraded two users to
Outlook 2007. We use a custom macro to pull up a link to our public folders
contacts. When I try to scroll to Tools, Macro, all of the subitems are
grayed out. I cannot seem to open the VB editor. I tried running a
diagnostics from Help, but that did not report any problems. I would
appreciate any suggestions or comments.

Thanks,

Matthew

What are your macro security settings set to? You should still be able to
see the list of macros regardless of what the security setting is - at its
lowest, you'll get an error when you try to run a macro. Does that happen
for you?

Otherwise, check in Help -> Disabled Items and see if the Microsoft VBA for
Outlook Add-In is disabled.
