macro gets deleted

I created a Macro that ran a few action queries and imported data (using the
TransferText action). I had SetWarnings set to NO. When I did a test run
the file to be imported was missing. This caused an error message to be
displayed (which was fine) and the macro to stop (also ok). When I went back
to the listing of macros it was gone. It had been saved - had even been run
successfully several times before the bad run.

Is this a known issue in Access? I'm guessing I'll have to go to code for
this - can't have a simple error message deleting my macros!

Thanks anyway, Steve.

Wonder if it has something to do with the fact we run Access from our server
- not locally. I had similar problems in the past where it deleted a table
when I encountered an error.

Hmmmm. Very frustrating!

Lauri,

Hmmm, never a good idea to run Access on the server!

You're not pressing the Delete key to get rid of the error message, are you?

I know but it's not my call. :(

Nope - just hitting enter.

I'm going to test this more to see if I can faithfully replicate it (AFTER I
make a backup copy of my macro).

Thanks, Lauri. If you get any more clues as to what's happening with
stuff getting deleted, please let us know.
