Macro button stops working when macro moved

Word 2000

If I create a toolbar button for a certain macro, then move the macro to a
different module, the button no longer works. It doesn't help to point to
Tools menu > Customize > right click on button > Name, and change the Name to
reflect the new module.

Is there any way to force the button to correspond to the desired macro? Or do
I simply have to make a new button (which is what I've been doing)? Thanks.

I suspect you have to make a new button, as your experiments would see to
indicate.
