Hi
We got some new computers in our school. They came running Vista but we
decided to downgrade them to XP so that they could easily process our logon
scripts and default user profile.
Question: All the XP machines in our location receive the scripts and
default user profile just fine. These new machines, were are also running
XP, report they can't process the scripts and the shortcuts to MS office
don't work.
Any ideas? I know if they were running Vista they needed a new file name
available to see the default user profile. These machines see the profile
but the shortcuts for the office product don't work.
Also, the scripts wouldn't run in Vista unless we upgraded the servers and
we didn't have time this summer which is another reason why we downgraded
them. Only only those five machines, we get a scripting error. It looks
just like the one they displayed when they were running vista.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
