Machine reboots when connecting to ISP

HI

This machine reboots when connecting to ISP via dialup from Explorer or Express.
AS soon as the modem negotiates connectin it reeboots.

AVG does not find any viras.

Possible bad modem. Try reseating it and updating the drivers (give it a
visual checkup when reseating also).
 
Modem is build into the motherboard so this is not a option.

Any viras out there that gives this problem ?
