MAC to IP resolution

R

Rob

My error logs list a MAC address, and I would like to
resolve the MAC to an IP, so I can resolve the IP to a
name. I tried arp -N <MAC address>, but it doesn't
provide any info.

Apparently that computer is not active at the moment when you used arp. If
you are using dhcp check your dhcp leases for "unique ID". --- Steve
