Mac permissions for a UAM volume

S

Stewart

Hi
I have set up Mac services on a 2000 server and can
connect to the server with the Mac's and see all files
created by server and/or PC's with access to the same
volume.

Only problem is I cannot get the Mac's to have write
access on that volume? The user name is granted full
access rights.
Please help.
Thanks

The Mac's aren't supposed to have write access to the UAM volume! It's
there so the Mac's can grab the UAM.

In that case how can you create another shared volume on the W2K server?

Hi Seb!

On your server, open Computer Management from the Administrative Tools.

Right-click on "Shared Folders" or "Shares" (can't remember which) and you
can "manage" Mac volumes, which includes the ability to create new ones.
This option only appears on servers with the Mac File Services installed.

Hope this helps! bill
