You can't share named resources (ie file sharing) between the MAC and Windoze
worlds. But you can FTP. You can get a free FTP server from any of these
websites (just search for "FTP server"):
http://www.download.com/?legacy=cnet
http://www.majorgeeks.com/search.php
http://www.tucows.com/search

Just get the FTP server of your choice, install it onto which ever computer (Mac
or Windoze) suits you, set it to share the folder with the recipes. Go to the
other computer, ftp to the first, upload or download recipes as desired. Have
fun.

I believe that MAC OS X has support for Windows file sharing built in.

We had our old Mac G3 (OS 10.2), our new Titanium PowerBook (w/ OS 10.3) and an old PIII running Windows Me playing rather nicely together for a week or two without any special software. Then the PC graphics driver died and we decided to get a new PC

Well, now the new system, running XP on an Athlon XP doesn't want to play with the Macs. The Macs can read and write in files set up to share on the XP system, but the XP system can't seem to find either Mac, even when I give it the addresses

So, my point is, if you have an older OS on your windows system it may be able to connect well with the Mac. Or, if you are in my situation, you may be able to do limited file sharing by pointing the Mac at shared folders on your Win system and moving them via the Mac. Good Luck

Personally, I'm on a quest to get file sharing and, maybe, printer sharing without too much out of pocket investment.
