m/s outlook not aknowledging my email address for outgoing emails

I have changed from using outlook xpress to microsoft outlook, although m/s
outlook is not aknowledging my email address it is only recognizing my old
address so i cannot send emails out. Can any body help please.
 
Not entirely sure I follow;
Your email address & its settings are supplied by your Internet Service
Provider, or mail provider

If you use the test account option, in whatever version of Outlook you are
using, it should if theres a problem produce an error msg.
