Hi

I have been getting this error on my XP server, everynight at the same
time.

Source: LSASRV
Category: SPNEGO (Negotiator)
Event ID: 40960
Description:
The Security System detected an authentication error for the server
ldap/server.acmecorp.com/[email protected]. The failure code
from
authentication protocol Kerberos was "The referenced account is
currently
disabled and may not be logged on to. (0xc0000072)".

What may the cause?

Thanks

I am confused. There is no such thing as XP server. Do you use a domain with
active directory? Is the error on a client or the server? What OS is the
server running? Is the server a DNS server? We need more information about
your environment to help you. These types of errors are usually caused by
DNS problems.

Hi

Sorry..I have been up for 24 hours, so I am not thinking too well right
now.

It is a 2003 Server, but not a DNS. The domain does have active
directories.

Is the error on the server or a client? Is the server a domain controller? I
would suspect the DNS settings on the server. It should point to a domain
DNS server only. Make sure you do not have anything but an internal server
listed in the TCP/IP properties. From the error it sounds like you may have
your ISP's DNS server listed in the settings. If the server is a domain
controller it should be running DNS as well and pointing to itself as a
server. Any secondary DNS settings should also only point to other domain
controllers.

Re-reading this makes me wonder. Is this a question you need answered for a
classroom or course you are taking? server.acmecorp.com?
