LS-120

I recently bought a new machine with XP Pro, and put into it the LS-120 from
my old machine. Unfortunately it does not work. When I try to access a
disk, the drive thrashes for a while and then tells me that the disc is not
formatted. I obtained another drive, but get the same result. I realise
that it is an obsolete drive, but I find it useful for certain files. It
appears to be detected as an LS-120, and is put in as Drive B. When I
looked at the drivers, it appears to have the same drivers as the 1.44
Floppy. Can anyone help with this? Do I just happen to have 2 drives that
have gone wrong in the same way by some coincidence, or is it a problem of
the XP Drivers? If the latter, can anyone pint me towards better drivers.
I have had a look around but without success.

My LS-120 is working just fine. The Device Manager > Properties > Driver >
Driver Details show the LS-120 as sfloppy.sys and the 3½ as flpydisk.sys.

My LS-120 drive worked just fine in XP Pro, the system assigned it to B:
and had the proper driver, no problem. Now I just upgraded to XP Pro
w/SP2 and I can't get the LS-120 to work. The system will not even see
the drive at all. I am in search of a solution to the problem as I to
have a need to still use my super drive. And I, like John, even tried
swapping the drive out for another LS-120 and got the same results. :-(
