Everytime that I start my computer it takes forever to
load the desktop, then a little pop up comes in the system
tray that says something to the affect of "Your system is
low on virtual memory. Windows is increasing your paging
file size. During this time some memory requests for
other programs will be denied." I have tried everything I
can think of to fix this. I ran norton, no viruses,
spybot, ad-ware, got rid of all that stuff. So I have
backed up most of the hard drive via other computers on my
home network...which is interesting because it lets me be
connected to my network, yet I can't access anything with
internet explorer. Also, a little pop up comes up after
the computer has been sitting there running it's processor
near 100% for about an hour that says that "Norton
Antivirus needs to be re-installed because it can no
longer automatically protect e-mails."
Basically, whatever is happening makes my computer nearly
inoperable for an hour or so when it is started up because
all of it's virtual memory is being used, after which you
cannot access the internet. PLEASE help me, I am near the
point of re-installing windows XP, but I really don't want
to have to do that!
Thanks
