>low virtual memory window pops up<

I have a Win2k Pro that won't let me logon to it because
on the logon screen it says that it's low on virtual
memory. It 256 megs of RAM installed, but I have never
learned if that has anything to do with virtual memory or
not.

I've seen that pop up before on different computers in
the past, but it was always while the person was logged
on. This is the first time that I have seen this on the
logon screen. After I type in my screen name and password
and hit enter, the window pops up about the memory. I
hit 'ok' and try to login again and the same things
happens. If anyone can let me know how to get into
windows AND adjust the virtual memory, could you send me
a reply? THANX N ADVANCE. The Rookie/Wayne B.

Today I found a similiar problem - it appeared that "outpost firewall"
application requests about 400 MB of ram, so virtual memory is used.
Sh...t it seams another app wants too much of RAM - I think It's a
virus.
so another crash in a few seconds, turn off all apps starting at
system's start, good luck
