I have a desktop and a laptop that I have routed to a
cable modem wired and wirelessly, respectively. My
desktop all of the sudden will not connect to the
internet or the network saying that the "signal is low or
not existant". However, my laptop will work fine
wirelessly and when I plug it in, it will work wired, so
I dont think that it's a router or a modem problem. I
think it's a problem with the desktop. Any suggestions???

What I don't understand is how come the desktop utters a typical
message for wireless connections, although it doesn't have a
wireless connection. How come?

I have the same problem, my wireless network connection
even get dropped every 3-5 minutes for some reason.

In most cases the wireless network status is "not
connected" even though it is connected.

My point exactly...

I was reading a post that was just made, and I think he's
having the same problem as me. I have recently removed
spyware from my computer, which is the last system
altering event before it happened. I've tried
to "repair" the connection, but it tells me it's unable
to renew my IP address and to contact my network
administrator; which would be good if I actually had
one. Any suggestions??????
