low memory problem

hi i, what should i do when the low memory appears on the taskbar saying the
my computer has a low memory pls!! help
 
Well, the obvious is to go out and get additional memory. That's a no
brainer. With memory as cheap as it is, there is no reason not to go up in
memory.

Some clarification needed.

Does the error message refer to "low memory" or to "low virtual
memory" or to "virtual memory minimum too low"?

3 different errors with 3 different solutions.
