Low Macro?

Hi All

I was just wondering, if I produce a word document, and them write a macro
into it, is there anyway I can tell my PC to run the macro when the document
is opened, without having to set all my security levels to low?

You can set your security level to Medium in which case you will prompted to
let the macro run.

You can use the SelfCert program--it comes with Office/Word, but you might
not have installed it--to create a signing certificate, then use it to sign
your macro project. Once Word has been closed and reopened, you should then
be able to run your own macros without having to change the security level.

For more information, look for selfcert in the Help system.

Or you could put the macro called AutoOpen in the document's template which
will run the code provided you have the template available. Without the need
for additional security. Clearly this means that the document should have
been created from a template other than normal.dot or the macro will run for
all your opened documents.

Never set macro security to low. Set it to medium and to trust installed
templates and add-ins.
