Hello loopofeternity; hope this helps; In my experience the loud
humming noise is a computer fan with a sized bearing or close to being
seized. It would be best to have your computer serviced immediately.
Any delay may result in further damage to your computer.

As noted, and as you know, it's quite possibly a fan. Just wanted to
comment that you should not ignore this; particularly if it's the CPU fan,
a broken fan can cause much more expensive CPU failure. So, get it fixed!
Hello, ok I am going to sound like a dork but, I don't know much about
computers. Which one is the CPU fan? The big one in the middle or the smaller
one on top? Thanks!!

All computers are different. I have no idea what's in the middle or what's
on top on your computer. Computers don't even all have the same number of
fans. Mine, for example, has five fans.
The CPU is a large chip mounted on the motherboard--two inches square or so.
The CPU fan is mounted on that chip.
