If the computer doesn't like something most of the time it will open a 
window and say please type in your administrator password to authorize this 
action.

I don't think I've ever had that happen just by trying to install an
applications and yet my Hugh user account is one in which I am Administrator
but my understanding is that that is not nearly as powerful as the unique and
hidden Administrator account, or Run as Administrator.
