Lost vista dual boot

Hi All

I have had to format and reinstall XPx64 on my c drive. I have vista RC2 x64
setup on a different hard drive however i no longer get the option to select
'vista' or 'an older version of windows'.

Do I need to repair Vista from the DVD or is there another way to get the
dual boot working?

thanks for any help

Martin

Boot with your Vista DVD and select Startup Repair, the link for which
appears on the lower left of one of the install screens. Reformatting your
C drive wiped out the Vista boot files.

you may need to do that more than once. if it doesnt work the first time,
dont sweat it, just try it again-same steps just choose reapir at the install
screen and then highligh your found installation > next > choose repair >>
click ok > finish ---then it will reboot. if it worked cool if not just do it
again. two times has been the magic number for me but i have had to do it 3
times.

Both

I have done this (3 was the magic number) and now have vista back however my
pc now only boots to Vista x64.

What steps to get the dual boot into XPx64 back ?

Regards

Martin

Depends on how you are set up and what is showing when you boot into vista.
If you go directly into Vista - no boot screen, Download VistaBootPro and
install, then set up a legacy system. If you have problems after doing that
post back.
