Lost task buttons on task bar

[Air Force Jayhawk]

Not sure how or when, but last time I used my laptop I realized that
the buttons on the taskbar for each open program are no longer there.
I can ALT-TAB between open programs but they are not on ther taskbar.

Any clue on how to fix?
