Lost speaker icon in task bar

Speaker in task bar is checked in sound properties but
after bootup speaker icon is missing from task bar.

If your talking about volume icon in the tray
notification area and you get this message :
"Windows cannot display the volume control on the taskbar
because the Volume Control program has not been
installed. To install it use Add/Remove Programs in
Control Panel."

Or if you installed some kind of delay of startups that
may be the problem.

Mike, I used to lose mine on my old computer and had to
go out to System, Sound, and REFRESH to make it reappear.
Hope this works for you.
