Lost sidebar

I've completely lost my sidebar -- if that's the right term -- you know,
that thing with the gadgets. I don't even have that "+" or "-" thing at
the top. Could I inadvertently have turned it off? If so, where is the
switch?
 
Click Start, type "sidebar.exe" and Press ENTER.

If Sidebar does not launch, then you need to register a couple of modules for the Sidebar to work correctly. See:
